Why Zambia?
Zambia is not just where we work — it's where our story began and where our founder's roots run deep.

Our Founder's Zambian Roots
Rev. Abednego R. Mambwe was born in Luanshya and raised in Kasempa, North Western Zambia. His deep understanding of Zambian culture, language, and community needs means that every program we run is designed from the inside — not imposed from the outside.
Raised by an American missionary from Philadelphia, Rev. Mambwe bridges two worlds. This unique perspective allows New Vision for Africa to create authentic partnerships between American supporters and Zambian communities.
Zambia is where our founder grew up, where his family lives, and where he has spent decades building relationships with community leaders, educators, and families. This isn't foreign aid — it's home.
Zambia Today
Despite its beauty and rich culture, Zambia faces significant challenges in education, technology access, and rural development.
Education Gaps
Many rural communities lack adequate schools, trained teachers, and basic learning materials. Children walk miles to reach overcrowded classrooms.
Technology Divide
In a world increasingly driven by technology, most rural Zambian students have never used a computer. This digital divide limits their future opportunities.
Rural Communities
The majority of Zambia's population lives in rural areas with limited access to healthcare, clean water, and economic opportunity.
What We Do in Zambia
New Vision for Africa addresses these challenges with programs designed by Zambians, for Zambians.
Computer Aid Project
Over 3,000 computers distributed to schools across 20+ districts, from urban Lusaka to rural Kasempa.
Child Sponsorship
